I'm curious to know if the googles are a separate piece or if they are sculpted onto the head?

Question about the character: I never understood if that was a helmet or Munitia had some sort of cybernetic scalp implant. Is the helmet actually a part of her head? And what's with the flaps? Is that in lieu of hair? Or is it supposed to look like hair? I love the figure. I just want to know what's going on with that noggin.
