My Green Beret Machine Gun Outpost

What with the reveal of the 2018 12" Convention set, a reproduction of the Sears Exclusive Green Beret Machine Gun Outpost from 1966, I figured I'd dig up the pictures I took of my Timeless Collection version, and a more authentic kitbashed version I did.

    First, my Timeless Collection set.

The machine gun, tripod, and ammo can are all die-cast metal. The Bazooka has no spring.

The tortoise lays on its back, its belly baking in the hot sun, beating its legs, trying to turn itself over but it can't. Not without your help.

    But you're not helping.

    My Kitbashed Version

I have bashed some sets together to make it more like the original set. The second shirt and pants are from the Timeless Spy Island set; the Beret, Bazooka, M-16, and Field Communication thing are from the GIJCC Green Beret Window Card; Cartridge Belts and Machine Gun are vintage; Ammo Can is from a Classic Collection set; Additional Grenades are from my many grenades.
