I was really looking forward to getting Salvo. I thought the Club did an excellent job with the parts build for their second version of the figure. I really thought it was superior to their initial mockup. But, I was wrong.

Salvo can't actually stand on his own. It's physically impossible because the knees and lower legs they used don't work together. Because of the misfit, the lower legs can't extend fully. That is, the lower legs actually sit behind the knees. Why do figures which use parts that don't work correctly get approved?

Because there was such an uproar over the initial figure , and he was made from the parts available literally thrown together last minute before FSS signup...

I finally got my Salvo to stand. You really need to mess with him a bit to get him just right

Drill the peg holes in his feet deeper. Ultimate Duke, Ultimate Flint and Sightline (to name a few) were all the same way and that's how I got them to stand better.

On another note, I wish they could have used the original lower legs from that thigh. I think those shins are closer to the original figure than the "rolled" version that was used. Still overall, I like this Salvo.

I received them yesterday and all I can say is pure nirvana. This is the probably the best pairing from FSS5. A big thanks to the club for doing another edition of Darklon. It's funny, but the price of the 2012 Darklon/Sgt. Mjr. set recently taken a nosedive on ebay from about $500 last year to $275 (still not cheap, but justifiable on some level).
