Metal-Head carries an ultra-portable Multiple Rocket Launcher (MRL) system strapped to a special backpack. He fires these precision-guided munitions (PGM) by vocal command and always hits his targets with devastating effect. The Iron Grenadiers are counting on his firepower to eliminate anyone foolish enough to land on the tropical island!

Visit the official GIJoeCon (http://www.gijoecon.com/il2015/)website and click on the Con Exclusives menu button to check out the next Iron Grenadier action figure included in this year's 3 3/4-inch box set!

Whoa! Outstanding! A fantastic looking figure! Very happy with this one. If they can do a great job on this, maybe this means a decent Fast Draw can be made in the future?

A really cool looking figure A+. Hope the final versions includes the rockets on his legs.

Tp be honest I'm fine without the launchers on his legs. Factor in gang THIS version of Metal-Head carries more rockets on his shoulders then his original 1990 version did total.

Better than expected. I think he is a little too thin. B+ rating

I think this figure will look better in person. I know other members have been dying to get their hands on this figure for some time now. .. He's so similar to the '90's copy ....I think I'm in the '90's! I like how the figures legs were 'unpegged' and the missiles are more of what I envisioned. In BLACK I give this figure a 10. But on a wider range of possibilities... I give it a 1.

Hard to tell by the pics if the knees will be double jointed or not.

They are. Those legs were used for the Jungle Viper from the PoC line In 2010-2011.

I wonder how that knife and scabbard will look on the final figure. Looks like it's photoshopped onto the prototype image to me.

Head sculpt, though photoshopped, looks nice. ..sigh.. I was really looking forward to this figure but I just don't feel like it hit its mark. So no, it's not the best figure. That title will have to go to lifeline, which nailed it completely. Still, the head sculpt is quite good.
Isn't the target on the mask supposed to be on the other side though?

The original Metal Head had the target on the left side of his goggles but the original card art had it on the right like the new figure.

Ok, I went and looked, but versions 1,2 and 3 all have the target on the left. Just the card art for version one shows it on the right. Just sayin'

I like this figure, with the IG ranks now growing I really hope the club will look into putting out a vintage deco Darklon in FSS 4.0. The 2011 Darklon is way out of most peoples price range and I would not pay that much for a figure that is not vintage accurate anyway.

But I don't see MH as being vintage accurate here. I was hoping, and he needs, his original missle pack, It's so iconic that it's almost its own character. Plus the webbing looks out of place to me and I really hate those knee pads. I really like the head sculpt though and I think the lower legs fit well but that's it. The torso is OK but is it really the best one? IDK thats just how I feel about him, maybe I was expecting too much.

I usually do my due dilligence but I completely missed versions 2 & 3. Thanks for calling me out on that. :o

Still I think this is the prize of the set with the surprisingly good looking Iron Anvils a close 2nd.

I have a concern about this figure. Will the missiles making heavy top and therefore more difficult to keep straight up?

its the same backpack that came with Duke (v43) in the Pursuit of Cobra line in 2011. and that figure had no trouble standing up.
