This one works for me, I know the colors will be lighter more accurate in hand. My only question is why not use the Pursuit of Cobra Legs?

04-20-2018, 04:01 PM
Looks good. I'll be swapping out the helmet.

04-20-2018, 04:04 PM
For such a simple looking figure, I really like this one. He'll fit in nicely with the rest of my vehicle drivers.

04-20-2018, 04:13 PM
Surprised that they didn't just mesh these two together.

Use the 25th helmet. Otherwise this works

04-20-2018, 04:17 PM
I like it. No need to OVERDO this figure. The pistol and the AR-15 are perfect for Tan Clutch.

04-20-2018, 04:17 PM
Why didn't you add a gun belt or use the original legs with the ankle holster.

04-20-2018, 04:17 PM
I think he's a bit of a mess. Why not use all modern parts (post 25th)?

04-20-2018, 04:28 PM
The only thing I would change is the legs, although this is very 1984 accurate... It works for me

04-20-2018, 04:52 PM
Bad choice for the helmet, and I agree the legs from the 25th would be better, plus he needs a belt and working holster.

The boots look good, the pants do not. I would love to have seen the baseball cap from the 2012 POC Clutch used here in a tan color. If the boots here get that much detail such as two different colors, then there’s no reason BulletProof’s belt can’t get painted brown as well.

Cool, very arah accurate. Was actually expecting the Dollar General Duke legs and helmet, but these legs fit the bill. I was hoping for the rolled sleeves at the bicep, but those flint arms are some of my favourite, so very acceptable. I might switch the helmet out, but I'll wait to see it in hand first. All in all, glad to see he turned out ARAH accurate. Thanks! Can't wait for the card art.

This one is really the one of the lineup that I care the least for, but it looks good to me.

04-20-2018, 05:50 PM
He looks fine for what he is, but the 25th Dusty pants (recently used on Ambush) would've worked better.

04-20-2018, 08:05 PM
Pretty faithful to the ARAH version. I'm glad he has minimal 25th parts. He should look good in my 30th Vamp MKII.

Dear GI Joe Club,

I hope you read this, Better hands for clutch but lower legs should have been dusty 25th or used his legs form the 25th that came with the vamp which you also used for hardtop on Fss6

04-21-2018, 08:27 AM
A holster would be nice, but otherwise, he’s ok.

04-21-2018, 09:28 AM
I like how he turned out and further makes the set a buy for me. I just wish the club used better proportioned hands like the ones that came with Lifeline v7 (30th anniv.) which are one of the best hands out there, if not the best, having swivel articulation and a great sculpt, without the big wrists present on this version of Clutch. These hands were also used in the last 3 versions of Firefly in case anyone is wondering.

The helmet might be too tight on his head. A lower leg holster makes sense for a vehicle driver. He would be sitting a lot & allow for easier access to pistol.

not bad club , but echoing the sentiments of others and my own personal feelings , this figure needs 2 very easy and straightforward changes to make it really work .1. please change the helmet for the standard 25th/tan grunt helmet 2. please change the legs or at least the upper legs to those used on the dollar general duke /25th zap figure , it would make this figure not only best represent the original but also greatly improve the overall figure and make a lot , or most of the subscribers happy with this figure. thank you .

04-21-2018, 01:17 PM
Very nice, but the helmet should be swapped out.

04-21-2018, 03:13 PM
So far I love 4 of the 1st 5 reveals and think this one looks great

04-21-2018, 08:25 PM
Don't like the copper color of his guns. Don't like his helmet. Why not just repaint v3 Double Clutch??? The original 1984 was just a repaint of v1.5. So why change it?

04-22-2018, 08:22 AM
The guns won't be that metallic when the figure comes out. The photoshop mockups make everything look more metallic.

Hey WindsorVT, because the second picture apparently violates forum rules, can you tell us what versions of Grunt you're referring to? Then we can all go to our archive of choice to see what you're suggesting.

I'm really curious to see what you're suggesting.

Thanks man!

They were just the 25th Clutch and POC Clutch w/ 4 seat Vamp Green/Tanish tint figure.

04-23-2018, 09:10 PM
This wasn't one I was particularly looking forward to, but it seems to be a pretty good recreation. It kind of mixes old and new parts, using the 25th Clutch vest and torso (which I think had to be used), but giving him more updated arms and legs. The arms especially are a big improvement over the 25th version. I don't really like the Bazooka helmet on him, would have preferred the DG Duke helmet, but that's a minor thing. Probably not exactly what everyone wanted, but a decent compromise.

I am curious to see what his card art will look like. Has there every been a carded Clutch figure before (not a vehicle driver)?

I just answered my own question: yes there has been a single carded Clutch figure. But hopefully they don't reuse this card art. http://www.yojoe.com/action/93/clutch3.shtml
Why didn't this guy have a beard?

Here's his filecard from the back of the Vamp. http://www.yojoe.com/action/82/clutch.shtml
