What happened to the new vest discussed at con?

08-22-2016, 03:16 PM
Not bad. Not my favorite in this year, but good. Perhaps, for me anyway, after seeing the Tiger Force version, this is just anticlimactic?

Looks great

At some point here something new needs to be tooled up. A new vest woulda worked wonders here. 10 reveals in and not 1 new part or head. Go back to the other vest. This one looks to short. Very out of place looking.

Not bad, not sure if its the same head as the Tiger Force version or not. Vest does looks rather short.

Yea I remember in the video they said something about a :different: vest, not a new one. Will be customizing thus one as I am with my tiger force one..... EDIT: are we sure that's not new? Looks sort of like the one scoop has but not exactly... Definitely not like sneak ork as much as the other one. What would help the other one would be replacing the grenades With the binoculars from the steel brigade delta/poc beach head vest

He looks decent. I'd say 7 out of 10 stars.

That is the Resolute Duke vest, if I am not mistaken. I preferred the one they used for the TF version, myself. What I was really hoping for were rolled up sleeves like the original.

Looks to much like the Tiger Force figure. I still like it, but at least they shouldn't put them out back to back like that.

08-22-2016, 04:18 PM
Hmmm....Not bad, not bad at all

08-22-2016, 04:22 PM
Well I can't really say anything bad about the design of this one...

08-22-2016, 05:47 PM
Fine, but what did we expect? Also, i hate these legs, too. Way overused.

08-22-2016, 07:43 PM
Looks great! Not a huge fan of the vest, i feel like the vest should have been different. Great job though!

I have no problem with the vest or the figure overall. I think we might be to the point where we're nitpicking, guys.

08-22-2016, 09:25 PM
I like this, might buy an extra scrap iron to swap out the vest, but this one is a good update

08-23-2016, 01:06 AM
I rather like it. I've seen people complain about the vest, but I think it works pretty well.

08-23-2016, 09:56 AM
I like this one. I think he looks great as an update from the original version. I'll prob set him up as Low Light's spotter as well as the recon man.

Looks great. Can't wait to have it in hand.

Kind of hard not to for me. I'm glad they're re doing salvo, but at the same time does that mean we should stop voicing our opinions on the rest of them? Look at the first and second, and even the third subscriptions. They were great, the first one had like 5 new head sculpts, the second one had a bunch. For me, I just feel like the bar is being lowered. Not to mention the sentimental value of having them as they were just in modern form. I don't know, must my two cents. The way I see it, were a club so we should be able to pick out things we do and don't like.

It helps to remember that before JoeCon this was going to be the last set. Obviously they were preparing to close up shop and were sending us out with one last FSS. I imagine they weren't planning on spending a bunch of money on new builds. With that in mind I think we are getting a pretty cool set. I wouldn't be surprised if we don't end up getting some really special figures in future sets since we have at least a couple of years left.

I would have preferred the Jungle Viper legs they are using on the Battle Corps Viper. They could have colored the boots and knee pads black so it looked a little more like the original figure. Let's face it, Sneak Peek was a big peg warmer back in the day. He's always been in the running for worst non-vehicle figure from '82-'87. I think I agree with most of you that the vest used on the 4.0 TF version would look better. Anyway, I'll get one for my carded collection, but I doubt I open one.

Prefer the Scrap Iron vest to chub him up like the Night Force version.
